Spring is here! Need some help with your outdoor or yard maintenance, call for a extra pair of hands, we love to do yard work!

Social Programs

Stitch and Chat

Every Monday at 1:30 pm, if you enjoy crafts then this is for you. There is lots of fun and chatting and handiwork happening in this group. Bring your own ideas or current project or come and work on a new one. No registration required.

Cards and Things

Tuesdays at 10:00 to 11:30 am. Come out and spend a morning making greeting cards from recycled cards.

Strictly Seniors Morning Coffee Club

At the Towne Center on the first Tuesday of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Free coffee and cookies with information sessions or entertainment provided by the Towne Center.

Shoppers Mall Coffee Club

The third Wednesday of each month, mark your calendar for free coffee and muffin to the Shoppers Mall. May 21st the Wheat City Carvers will be joining us with their displays June 18th Carousels and Dolls museum will have a Porcelain Doll display.

"Out to Lunch" Thursday Lunch Program

Have finished for the season. Our sincere thanks to all those who attended and to committee members who did such a wonderful job this season. Look for our new season to start in September.

Wednesday Afternoon Games

Do you enjoy playing the odd board game, cards or even billiards? We are open to you for a small fee of $3.00 and you are welcome to attend from 1:30 - 4:30 pm every Wednesday. Need more info? Call 571-2050.

Writer's Circle

Another successful season of Writers Circle. A Big Thank you to Hazel Rose and her group for keeping the Writers Circle thriving and interesting. See you in September!.

Senior Songbird's

Do you enjoy singing in the shower? Ever tried bringing your voice out of the closet and into a group who could use a voice like yours? Just for fun, why not give it a try! They share their love of singing at places such as Rideau Park and Fairview. They would love to sing for any group just for the fun of it! It only cost's a dollar and you can meet new friends. They meet every Wednesday morning at 10:45.

Bridge

Bridge has concluded for the season. We wish to thank Julia Anderson for all her leadership over the last few years and wish the new coordinators in the fall much success. Join this group in September.

Friday Afternoon Games

Have you ever played the game Spinner? It's just like Domino's but better! You could try this game every Friday afternoon at 1:30 pm for the cost of $3.00 per person. Or maybe you enjoy putting puzzles together. We have a new puzzle on the go every opportunity we get. For more information call us at 571-2050.

Computer Courses

Introduction to Computers

May 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

This course will cover the basics of how to move around in the Windows environment, using the mouse, and the keyboard. Windows basics will be covered as well as a touch on using the Works program for general letters. Also included are tips on buying a computer system and some instruction on basic keyboarding skills.

Beginner Internet Training

June 2, 3, 4, and 5 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

Covering basic internet functions including searching, emailing, downloads, and basic internet use.

Introduction to Works

To start in the fall. An introduction to Works 2000 including coverage of the word processor, spreadsheets, databases,how to use various items in the Works program. Must have taken Introduction to Computers.

Creating Cards

To be announced later in the fall A course designed to help you understand, design and create your own greeting cards.
